ROckingham Recreational Rail Trail
Fremont Branch

The railbed through Sandown from Windham to Epping is owned by the State of New Hampshire and has been converted to an 18 mile year-round, multi-purpose rail trail. At Windham Junction the trail connects with the Derry and Windham Rail Trails (8 miles combined) and at Epping it connects with the 25 mile Rockingham Recreational Trail, Portsmouth Branch.

If you would like to park at Sandown to use the trail, we just ask you keep the parking spots closest to the depot available for Museum visitors.

Happy trails!
