DESCRIPTION:The Sandown Historical Society invites you to come join us to warm up your heart and soul with an afternoon of fun for the “Young and the young at heart” on Sunday\, February 19th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Sandown Town Hall. There will music for all ages\, including a sing-a-long of tunes from days gone by. Music provided by “The Works” – Pam & Donnie Gaudreau. Light refreshments of coffee\, juice and cookies will be available. Admission is free\, but donations are greatly appreciated. Proceeds go toward the repairs and restoration of the 1914 Maine Central Railroad flanger car.

DESCRIPTION:This is the third (and last) of a series of walks organized by the Sandown Conservation Commission. It will start you to the Old Meeting House in Sandown for a discussion about the rich history of our town. After that\, a walk into the woods off of Fremont Road is the perfect opportunity to take some pictures and enjoy hiking through a beautiful parcel of land. Finally\, it’s off to the Depot to learn about the important role the old Boston & Maine Railroad played in Sandown’s past. You can expect to go home with some good photographs\, new friends\, and stories of being transported back in time!
